The Eanes Child Development Center was a gleam in many an eye for years before it officially opened.
In the spring of 1990, teacher Carol Reese spoke with Dr. Carol McKenzie, principal at West Ridge Middle School, and asked permission to open a childcare center in a vacant classroom. After much research and hard work, permits were granted in the Fall of 1990 and West Ridge Infant Center was born. The center opened with three infants, quickly expanded to eight, and had a waiting list by the school year's end.
30 years later, we offer high quality early childhood care across the district as part of the Eanes Care Early Education and After School Department.
